Overview
This Amazon-basin milfoil dresses its stems in soft, whorled plumes that stay fresh light-green rather than going scraggly like the temperate species. It grows centimeters per day when fed, making it equal parts ornament and nutrient export.

Aquascaping use
Use its feathering to dissolve hard background lines and give small fish drifting cover. In Dutch-style tanks it makes a classic fine-texture street.

Planting
Plant cuttings loosely; nodes root fast wherever they touch. Leave working space around each stem for the plume diameter.

Light & CO₂
Medium light keeps whorls tight; CO₂ pushes already brisk growth to weedlike. Insufficient light stretches the internodes visibly.

Substrate & fertilization
A heavy drinker from the water column that will strip a lean tank; feed accordingly. Sudden paleness means it has outrun your dosing.

Top weekly at full speed and replant the plumed crowns. Old stems below cuts thin out and are best rotated out entirely.
