Overview
Bleherae carries wider, lusher blades than the plain species and forms a fountain of foliage that can anchor a whole aquarium. Generations of community tanks have been built around exactly this plant, and it remains hard to better for effortless mass.

Aquascaping use
One specimen behind the midpoint of a large tank creates an instant focal fountain. Give it clearance; it will fill a forty-centimeter circle and shade whatever sits beneath.

Planting
Bury the substantial root system deep, keep the crown above the substrate, and expect the emersed nursery leaves to be replaced by longer submerged ones within weeks.

Light & CO₂
Low to moderate light is ample; its appetite is for root nutrition, not lumens. CO₂ is unnecessary for robust growth.

Substrate & fertilization
This is a heavy root feeder: keep tabs under the rosette on a regular schedule, especially in inert gravel. Pale interveinal new leaves mean iron hunger.

Growth, trimming & propagation
Cut aging outer leaves at the base to recycle energy into new blades. Plantlets formed on flower stalks can be cut free and planted once rooted.
