Overview
Several cultivated forms are sold under this name. All are valued for tolerance, strong roots, and an ability to anchor a calm midground composition.

Aquascaping use
Plant in loose drifts around the base of wood or behind foreground stone. Mix leaf sizes sparingly so the group remains legible.

Planting
Bury roots while keeping the crown at substrate level. Give each rosette room to widen and avoid repeatedly relocating established plants.
Established substrate with root nutrition

Light & CO₂
It tolerates low light and no injected CO₂. More light can produce denser growth, but color depends on the cultivated form and nutrition.

Substrate & fertilization
Root tabs are useful in inert substrate. Consistent water-column nutrition supports new leaves without replacing root feeding.
Feeding behavior: Root feeder. Nutrient demand: moderate.

Growth, trimming & propagation
Remove older leaves at the crown. Separate daughter plants after they have formed an independent root system.
