Overview
Pusilla is dwarf sagittaria's compact selection, capable of a genuine five-centimeter turf under strong light. The catch is that the same plant can bolt to forty centimeters when conditions loosen, and once tall runners start, they recruit.
Size note: Good light and removal of taller runners are needed to maintain the shortest foreground form.

Aquascaping use
Use it as tight foreground grass in brightly lit scapes where its discipline holds. It transitions nicely into taller sagittaria or crypts behind.

Planting
Plant small, spaced plugs in fine substrate and establish under the strongest light you intend to run. Starting dim then upgrading rarely re-shortens a stand.

Light & CO₂
Bright, even light is the actual dwarfing agent; CO₂ helps density and pace. Any shading corner will grow taller than the rest.

Substrate & fertilization
Root tabs maintain runner vigor; balanced column dosing prevents pale growth. Overfeeding pushes height as surely as shade does.
Feeding behavior: Root feeder. Nutrient demand: moderate.

Growth, trimming & propagation
Pull tall blades and their runner lines the week they appear rather than trimming them back. Consistent culling keeps the short phenotype dominant.
