Overview
Wallichii dresses its stems in whorls of hair-fine leaves that blush pink to magenta at the tips, like bottle-brushes dipped in dye. It insists on soft, acidic, CO₂-rich water, and rewards exactness with one of the finest textures achievable underwater.
Water note: Prefers soft, slightly acidic water; published grower guidance does not establish a universal numeric tolerance band.

Aquascaping use
Feature a tight group at a focal point where its glow and texture register up close. It pairs classically with pale sand and dark stone in soft-water scapes.

Planting
Plant fragile stems individually with fine tweezers in soft substrate. Handle by the lower stem; the whorled leaves shed if raked.

Light & CO₂
High light and unwavering CO₂ are the baseline, not the stretch goal. In hard or carbon-poor water it stunts within weeks.

Substrate & fertilization
Steady, complete dosing in soft water; it is sensitive to both starvation and abrupt correction. Many keepers run it with remineralized RO for control.

Growth, trimming & propagation
Top carefully and replant only robust tips; weak cuttings rarely restart. Keep the stand thinned so interior stems see light.
