Overview
Arcuata's narrow, almost coniferous leaves take on orange to brick red under strong light, and a dense stand looks like heat shimmer. It is the Ludwigia for scapers who find the broad-leaved species too heavy.

Weave it between green fine-leaved stems where its color reads as glow rather than block. It excels in bright, CO₂-supplied layouts with disciplined trimming.

Plant thin cuttings close together for immediate density; individual stems are visually slight. It roots readily and grows fast once settled.

High light and steady CO₂ are effectively entry requirements for the color and tight habit. Under less it survives as an unremarkable green.

Full-spectrum dosing with dependable iron; its fine leaves show deficiencies quickly. Keep nitrate present, not starved.

Trim often and replant tops; the stand's cloudlike shape comes entirely from repeated topping. Remove shaded, thinning lower growth during rework.
