Overview
Reni solves the sword-keeper's usual problem: wanting Echinodorus color without surrendering half the tank. It matures at a domestic scale, and its dark red new growth is among the deepest in the compact cultivars.

Aquascaping use
It fits the midground of a standard sixty-centimeter tank as the centerpiece larger swords cannot be. Surround it with low green plants to frame the dark rosette.

Planting
Set it in rich substrate with modest clearance; its restraint is genetic, not a response to cramping, so give it honest room anyway.

Light & CO₂
Medium light maintains the red; it manages fine without CO₂. More energy mostly quickens leaf turnover.

Substrate & fertilization
Root tabs on schedule keep the succession of red leaves coming. Iron availability shows directly in new-leaf depth.
Feeding behavior: Root feeder. Nutrient demand: high.

Growth, trimming & propagation
Remove olive-aged leaves to showcase incoming red ones. Plantlets from stalks propagate it faithfully.
