Overview
The undulate leaf edge that names this species gives even a small stand visible texture and motion. It is a natural hybrid in origin, which may explain its vigor: among midsize crypts it is one of the quicker spreaders.

Aquascaping use
Its ripple reads best with side or front lighting in the open midground rather than buried among stems. Combine it with smooth-leaved companions so the waviness registers as intentional.

Planting
Standard crypt practice applies: crown high, roots deep, then hands off. Runners appear sooner than with most relatives, so allow spreading room from the start.

Low light is fine; moderate light tightens the rosette and warms the bronze tones. CO₂ optional throughout.

Substrate & fertilization
A tab-fed root zone produces noticeably larger rosettes. Otherwise maintain ordinary column dosing for the tank at large.

Cull old leaves at the base and thin runner thickets yearly to keep individual rosettes shapely.
