Overview
Moneywort grows wherever the tropics are damp, which trained it to accept almost any submerged life we offer. Its light-green, rounded leaves stack up cheerful columns that bend toward the light and eventually poke above the surface if allowed.

Aquascaping use
Use its brightness to lift shadowed corners or stand it behind dark wood where the pale green glows. In open-topped tanks let a few stems emerge and trail as a ripariums-style accent.

Planting
Plant cuttings shallowly; they root at buried nodes quickly. Stems are flexible and forgiving of handling.

Light & CO₂
Medium light keeps internodes tight and color fresh; without CO₂ growth is simply calmer. Deep shade stretches it visibly within a week.

Substrate & fertilization
Column feeding at normal rates suffices. Chronic leanness shows as smaller, paler new leaves.
Feeding behavior: Water-column feeder. Nutrient demand: moderate.

Growth, trimming & propagation
Top and replant to thicken groups; the cut stems branch readily. Leggy lower halves are best replaced with their own tops.
