This compact cultivar offers unusually strong color at a small scale, but it is less forgiving of unstable carbon and repeated major changes.

Aquascaping use
Use a restrained patch as a focal accent among green plants. Repetition in two small groups can create balance without overwhelming the layout.

Separate stems and plant into a small group with light reaching each crown. Avoid burying lower leaves.

Medium light and stable injected CO₂ support compact form and color. Higher-energy conditions intensify growth, but they are not absolute survival requirements.

Provide balanced macro- and micronutrients through both substrate and water column. Iron is essential, but excess iron alone does not create red color.
Feeding behavior: Mixed feeder. Nutrient demand: moderate.
